600D or 900D?

The D number is the thickness of the yarn in the fabric. 600D is the standard for soft-sided cases and perfectly sound for occasional use. 900D is heavier and resists abrasion and tearing longer, which matters at the corners and along the base — the two places a soft case actually fails. Same shell, same capacity, same fittings: the Verona 29″ is this case in 900D.

On the weight limit

Most airlines set a checked bag at 23kg and refuse a single piece over 32kg. At 3.9kg empty you have around 19kg to fill. Check your own allowance before you fly, as it varies by carrier and fare.
