Why 900D

The D number is the yarn thickness in the fabric. Soft cases at this price usually use 600D. 900D is heavier and holds up longer against abrasion and tearing at the corners and base, which is where soft cases give out. The Valencia 29″ is the same shell in 600D if you fly rarely and would rather spend less.

On the weight limit

Most airlines set a checked bag at 23kg and refuse a single piece over 32kg. At 3.9kg empty you have around 19kg to fill. Check your own allowance before you fly, as it varies by carrier and fare.
