Why 900D
The D number is the yarn thickness in the fabric. Soft cases at this price typically use 600D. 900D is a heavier weave that resists abrasion and tearing for longer at the corners and along the base — the two places a soft case actually fails. If you check a bag once or twice a year, the Valencia 26″ is the same shell in 600D for less.
On the weight limit
Most airlines set a checked bag at 23kg and refuse a single piece over 32kg. At 3.3kg empty you have close to 20kg to fill, and 79 litres of clothing rarely reaches that — you will run out of space before the scales stop you. Check your own allowance before you fly.
